These are the next two phones to update to the stable version of MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition.

Xiaomi continues to update its mobiles to the latest available version of MIUI. On this occasion, two of its mid-range models launched last year have been chosen to receive MIUI 12.5 Enhanced, the version of the software that introduces performance improvements and fixes to frequent errors.

Specifically, they are the Xiaomi Redmi 9 y Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, two of the brand’s best-selling smartphones in recent months, with millions of accumulated sales worldwide between the two.

The Xiaomi Redmi 9 is receiving the update to MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition.

MIUI 12.5 Enhanced arrives on the Redmi 9 and Redmi Note 9

As explained in GizmoChina, the update is aimed at the global models of the Xiaomi Redmi 9 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. Therefore, the update should begin to reach all European countries, including Spain, over the next few hours. It should also be available in Mexico and Latin American regions soon.

The update brings with it performance improvements and bug fixes, but it does not include new functions. MIUI 12.5 Enhanced is a version designed to improve the experience with devices, correcting those problems that were present in MIUI 12.5. It is worth noting that the update has been released via the MIUI stable branch, and therefore it is not necessary to register in the My Pilot program in order to download it.

In addition, the Android security patch corresponding to the month of October is introduced. Therefore, the update also introduces security improvements that device owners can benefit from once they install the new version on their mobiles.
