God of War sneaks into WWE thanks to this wrestler’s Kratos costume

Last night the NXT 2.0: Halloween Havoc 2021 took place, a WWE event that, among others, faced the wrestlers Tommaso Ciampa y Bron Breakker. The first ended up defeating the second, retaining the title of champion, and did so in a way that fans of the saga God of War surely they will recognize: full beard, war paint from eye to shoulder, loincloth and leather armor … Indeed, Ciampa I jumped into the ring yesterday disguised as Kratos, a character that we will see again in God of War: Ragnarok next year, when it releases on PS5 and PS4.

That’s right, as you can see in the images, Ciampa has preferred a bluish color instead of Krato’s iconic redYes, will it be a cosmetic issue or a license use rights issue? Whatever it is, it is evident that the fighter is disguised as the protagonist of God of War, so much so that even Cory Barlog, director of the last published installment, has reacted to a tweet from the official WWE account with a GIF of the god of war himself.

The near future of the saga God of War

The saga God of War is more alive than ever, and we do not say it just because of the disguise of this fighter. On the one hand, in 2022 it will be launched God of War: Ragnarok, a new delivery that will put an end to the Nordic adventure of Kratos with Atreus and will do so with a “surprising but inevitable” ending, according to his own director, which this time will not be Cory Barlog. On the other hand, it was recently announced that God of War, the 2018 release, will arrive on PC on January 14 with an upgraded version to reach resolution up to 4K and compatible with DLSS. This adaptation, by the way, has been outsourced: Jetpack Interactive is handling it, rather than Santa Monica Studio.
