Put the stabilization of the Pixel 6 to the test by attaching it to a drone (and the result is incredible)

Most of us wouldn’t dare to mount a $ 900 phone on a small drone to fly it over a swamp, but there is always someone on YouTube willing to take things to the extreme for us.

In this case, the youtuber OriginaldoBo put the Pixel 6 Pro’s camera to the test by attaching it to an FPV drone with a simple phone holder. With the camera recording the entire flight in automatic at 1080p at 30 fps, the result is impressive, both for the stabilization of the video and for the dynamic range and exposure of the Pixel, which does not disappoint most of the way.

Despite being a 210 gram phone, the Pixel 6 Pro did a better job than a GoPro, according to OriginaldoBo himself. Video is incredibly smooth, even though stabilization was set to standard mode and the phone was recording with the widest lens profile. It also captured details of all vegetation with amazing dynamic range, even moving at high speed.

All these samples of what the Pixel 6 camera can doIn both photography and video, they only add to my irritation at not being able to buy the phone on this side of the world. The phone is not expected in Spain until 2022, and it has no announced launch date for any Latin American country.
