Thanks to David Gibson and Famitsu Another interesting piece of information comes to us that can give a lot to talk about: these days, Metroid Dread has sold some 87,000 copies in Japan in physical format. This represents a premiere that triples the sales obtained by Metroid: Samus Returns on Nintendo 3DS back in the day, a huge hit!
As always, this figure does not include sales in digital format, so actually, the title could have sold a lot more. You can see the data below:
What do you think? Do you think we will have more Metroid in the future? Do not hesitate to leave it in the comments!
Metroid Dread sold 87k physical copies, exceeding Metroid Samus Returns (3DS) in Sept 2017 which sold 29k. Best start for Metroid series since 2000. Digital sales not included. (2/3)— David Gibson (@gibbogame) October 14, 2021
