If you like tactical RPGs, you’ve probably at least played or heard of The Banner Saga: an adventure that drinks from Viking legends and is characterized by its particular artistic section. The creators of these games are the members of Stoic Studio, and now it seems that they will be working on exclusive titles for Xbox under a new Xbox Global Publishing, according to recent information. Today we have known the details of Project Belfry, one of the games born under this new publishing agreement.
It has been the journalist Jeff Grubb who has offered the first supposed details of Project Belfry, of which the account has been echoed
: we will be talking about a side scrolling action game, similar to what we could enjoy in the PlayStation exclusive Dragon’s Crown. The artistic section reminds Princess mononoke, one of the most acclaimed and popular Studio Ghibli movies.
Grubb has also revealed few details about the unannounced Xbox title Project Belfry— Nibel (@Nibellion) October 27, 2021
- sidescrolling action game similar to Dragon's Crown
- art has Princess Mononoke vibes
- the Belfry (bell tower) functions as your base (craft items, upgrade gear)https://t.co/cP1xwkuavR pic.twitter.com/S9l29XR1DZ
In the title we will also find, as a base, a bell tower (belfry in English): here we could improve our equipment or make objects. This makes us think that the game can also include resource management mechanics or the possibility of improving this base of operations as we progress through the game. For the moment, this is all that is known about it and it remains only to speculate.
From Windows Central They also wanted to point out that the Xbox Global Publishing seal is bringing together all kinds of studios, in order to offer an extensive and varied catalog for Xbox Game Pass: Avalanche will be offering its new game Contraband, and they also echo the rumors that suggest that IO Interactive (Hitman) will also be preparing a game called Project Dragon while working on the James Bond game.
If you haven’t played The Banner Saga, we remind you that I recently received The Banner Saga Trilogy for Switch, PS4 and Xbox One: a compilation that brings together the three titles published to date. In fact, its reception was so warm from the community that there was even talk at the time that the saga could receive an animation series.
