© Reuters. Associated Press Plans to Launch Chainlink Node to Publish Data
The Associated Press news agency announced that it would launch its own Chainlink oracle node to ensure cryptographic verification of the data of its members of the US press and broadcasting.
In an Oct. 21 announcement, the Associated Press, or AP, said that smart contract developers would have access to the agency’s “economic, sports and call-up data” once the node was up. According to the AP, it will publish on-chain data for developers to access and reference any relevant applications, as well as provide information about the upcoming elections and serve artists working with non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

“Chainlink’s technology is the ideal way to provide smart contract developers anywhere in the world with direct, on-demand access to AP’s trusted economic, sports and race call data,” said the blockchain director. and agency data licenses, Dwayne Desaulniers. “Working with Chainlink allows this information to be compatible with any chain of blocks.”
