According to the Santa Fe city commissioner, the victim was 42 years old and died of injuries caused by the firearm, after being airlifted to the University of New Mexico Hospital.

For its part, a Baldwin spokesperson said there was an accident on the set that involved the firing of a prop pistol with blank bullets, reports the AP. Meanwhile, Santa Fe New Mexican reported that the actor, who also directs the film along with Joel Souza, was seen outside the police station crying on Thursday, but attempts to obtain his comments were unsuccessful.
