Coronavirus in Mexico on October 21: in one day there were 746 deaths and 4,798 new infections

The Health Secretary (In) reported that at October 21 already add 285,669 deaths confirmed in Mexico by the new coronavirus (COVID-19), as well as 3,772,556 cases accumulated. In other words, in the last 24 hours there were 746 deaths and 4,798 new infections.

He noted that the Mexico City and State of Mexico are the entities with the highest number of active cases Estimates (with a start date of the last 14 days by the positivity index, by entity and epidemiological week). At the national level 33,880 infections of this type are calculated with an incidence rate of 43.3 per 100,000 inhabitants.

The Mexico City, State of Mexico, Jalisco, Puebla, Guanajuato, Veracruz, Nuevo León, Baja California, Chihuahua and Sonora are located as the 10 entities that have registered the highest number of deaths and that together represent 65% of all those in the country.

According to the SSa, hospitalization is 82% lower in relation to the peak of the second epidemic wave in January this year. In the last 24 hours the occupation of general beds It is at 23% and that of beds with a fan remained at 21%.
