According to reports on Facebook, the waterspout was seen around 5:00 pm this Saturday in the Bay of Jagua, an inlet from the Caribbean Sea that is located on the southern coast of Cuba.

The bay of Cienfuegos it had never been the scene of these phenomena, but since June 1 of this year at least three waterspouts have been reported.

It happened on June 1, in the afternoon, in the Camilo Cienfuegos bay area, which is close to the Camilo Cienfuegos oil refinery. The cloud tail that originated was about 400 meters high above the waters of the bay, in the area near the oil refinery.

Last September 27, another southwest of the city and south of the Nuclear City of Juraguá, which quickly disintegrated, indicated a note from the Provincial Meteorological Center of the Institute of Meteorology (INSMET).
