Havana, Oct 13 (ACN) A total of 23 million 149 thousand 042 doses of Cuban anti-COVID-19 vaccines have been applied in the country as part of the strategy for the development of these immunogens.

The Ministry of Public Health of Cuba (Minsap) informs that until October 11, nine million 636 thousand 551 people have received at least one dose of Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala (including convalescents of the disease, vaccinated with Soberana Plus as a single dose).

Of them, seven million 409 thousand 282 people have a second dose, and a third, six million 103 thousand 209.

The number of people with the full vaccination scheme in Cuba now reaches 6 million 355 thousand 943, a figure that represents 56.8 percent of the population.

The mass vaccination, which began on July 29, 2021, has included 12 million 814 thousand 216 doses; While in the health intervention started in May 2021, nine million 614 thousand 296 were administered.

As part of the intervention study in health workers, by BioCubaFarma and other risk groups, there are 454,064 doses applied.

Finally, the clinical trials with the Cuban vaccine candidates Soberana 02, Abdala and Soberana Plus included 266 thousand 466 doses, in the provinces of Havana, Santiago, Granma and Guantánamo.
