Coronavirus Mexico: new infections in the last hours and deaths

The Federal Ministry of Health reported this Wednesday that in the last 24 hours 6,320 new infections of Covid-19 and 420 deaths were detected. Since the beginning of the pandemic there has been a record of 3 million 738 thousand 749 positives and 283 thousand 193 people have lost their lives. Likewise, there are 40 thousand 403 active cases estimated and 529 thousand 322 suspects.

The deaths that have been registered by Covid-19, have a sex distribution in men with 62 percent, and a median age of 64 years. The health agency detailed that in the last 14 days, 40,403 percent of the Mexican population, representing one percent of society, have symptoms related to the disease.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, there is a record that there are 10 million 977 thousand 398 people who were notified to the National Epidemiological Surveillance System for follow-up. There is also a record of 6 million 709 thousand 327 people who have shown a negative result in the tests so far in the health contingency.

So far the states of Campeche, Baja California Sur, Chiapas, Quintana Roo and Tlaxcala have the largest number of beds available to care for patients with Covid-19.
