The President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, held a working meeting with representatives of Peruvian, American and foreign non-American companies that are part of the conglomerate of the American Chamber of Commerce of Peru (AmCham Peru) in the city of Washington DC
Among the topics discussed were: strengthening the public and private dialogue of Peru and the United States for the promotion of opportunities, trade and investment in both countries to recover the economy, fight against the pandemic, overcome social exclusion and protection of the environment, in a framework of macroeconomic stability.
The president ratified the commitment of his government to guarantee the economic stability and legal security of the country, to promote an adequate investment climate that allows Peru to move forward.
President Castillo highlighted the importance of the meeting, which took place within the framework of his official visit to the United States, prior to his participation in the session of the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the General Debate of the 76th UN General Assembly.
The meeting was organized by the American Chamber of Commerce of Peru (AmCham Peru), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Peru in the United States, it was held at the Jefferson Hotel in Washington and the ministers of Economy and Finance, Pedro Francke; and Foreign Relations, Óscar Maúrtua.
