Martine Moise, widow of the late Haitian president Jovenel Moise, traveled to the United States again on Wednesday to receive medical treatment for the injuries sustained in the attack in which the president was killed.
Government sources cited by ‘Gazette Haiti’ have indicated that Moise has traveled to the North American country with his children, after moving to Haiti from a Miami hospital to be present at Moise’s funeral, held on July 23.
Moise was shot on July 7 by a group of Colombian mercenaries hired by a Miami security company run by a Venezuelan. A total of 26 people have been arrested, including a score of former Colombian military personnel and two citizens with Haitian and American nationality. Three more Colombians have died.
